Think about it like a body.
The world is the body. Systems are the organs. People like you are the nerves.
Nerves are the first ones to scream when something is off. They fire. They burn. They send signals.
They are also the ones everyone tells to calm down.
That is what is happening with all the autistic coded, ADHD flavored, trauma loud people who exist right now.
You feel everything. You melt down in systems that are too rigid. You shut down in systems that are too chaotic. You call out emotional abuse, hypocrisy, fake love, fake work culture.
You are the alarm system of this time period.
Of course you look dramatic to people who are committed to staying numb. Of course you look unstable to systems that only function if everyone shuts up and keeps performing.
When the fire alarm goes off during dinner, what do people do first?
They get mad at the alarm. They complain about the noise. They roll their eyes. They reach up and try to hit the button.
They do all of that before they even ask the most important question.
Why is it going off? Is something actually burning?
You are not broken because you cannot tolerate what other people tolerate. Your body and brain are telling the truth faster than everyone else. You reach your limit sooner because your system is sensitive and honest.
That is not a flaw. That is information.
The world built a culture that rewards numbness and calls it strength. It celebrates people who can sit in smoke and pretend they do not smell anything. It promotes the ones who can watch harm and never flinch.
So of course it labels the alarm as the problem.
If this is you, your work is not to rip the wires out of your nervous system to make everyone else comfortable.
Your work is to learn how to live as an honest alarm in a dishonest building.
To find other alarms. To rest when you can. To ground your body so the signals do not destroy you from the inside. To choose where you point that sensitivity instead of letting everyone else use it for their benefit.
You are not too much. You are not lazy. You are not a mistake.
You are proof that something in this body is not okay.
